"The beach is just really peaceful. I grew up in St. Louis and the closest beach was three hours away. We didn't get to go to the beach that much," Des said with a chuckle as he followed Michael. He was more than willing to let the other man pick the spot; he was just happy to be there at the beach.
He grinned when Michael set down the cooler and put down the bags, digging into his to get the beach blanket he'd brought along specifically for the purpose of spreading it out on the sand. He shook it out and then laid it down, securing the corners with the bags, the cooler and his shoes so that it wouldn't blow away.
"Yeah, it really does. I think I might have to join you," he said as he pulled his shirt over his head.
