Unfortunately before Des could work up the nerve to grab Michael's hand, the other man pulled it back to thread his fingers restlessly through his hair. He glanced thoughtfully in Des's direction and let out a sigh.

"Hey," he said finally. "I'll be back. Don't get too lonely without me." He leaned over to give Des a quick kiss before treading off to the ocean. He needed the time to work out his nerves.
